Justin Philbeck

J.D., Wake Forest University School of Law
Criminal Defense Attorney | Former Prosecutor | Author

Justin is a former prosecutor who concentrates in the areas of impaired driving, traffic fatalities, and driver's license protection. Justin served for ten years as a North Carolina prosecutor, including five years as a Regional Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor with the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys. In that role, he was one of the state's top authorities on DWI law, responsible for training prosecutors and police officers across North Carolina on how to handle impaired driving cases. He also co-authored the 2018 edition of the North Carolina Impaired Driving Handbook - the go-to manual for DWI prosecution statewide.

An Unmatched Background in DWI and Traffic Law

During his time as a prosecutor, Justin tried hundreds of cases involving everything from speeding tickets to vehicular homicide. His courtroom experience includes countless DWI trials, license restoration hearings, and contested motions involving constitutional and scientific issues. Today, he applies that knowledge to defend individuals charged with impaired driving, challenge license suspensions, and protect clients' long-term driving records and careers.

Justin's depth of knowledge in traffic safety law is rare—and now it's available to those who need an experienced and aggressive defense.
